Scott Hennessee anchors the 6:30 and 11 p.m. news, weekends on CBS Local 2.  He also anchors the 10 p.m. weekend newscasts on KDFX Fox 11.  Scott is a general assignment reporter during the week.

Scott came to the Coachella Valley in 2003 as a sports anchor and reporter with CBS Local 2. He spent many years as the station's Sports Director. He also hosted the nightly magazine show, "Eye on the Desert", for which he was nominated for two Emmy Awards.

Whether it is news, features, or sports, Scott enjoys telling interesting stories that matter to the people of the Coachella Valley.  Among the more memorable events he has covered are the Presidential Summit at Sunnylands, the Coachella Music & Arts Festival, and the Palm Springs International Film Festival where he interviewed stars like George Clooney and Clint Eastwood.  A tennis player himself, Scott also looks forward to bringing viewers stories on the best players in the world at the BNP Paribas Open at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden every March.

The variety of stories any given day can bring is what excites him about his current role as a news reporter and anchor.

Prior to coming to the desert, Scott was a sportscaster in Grand Junction, Colorado and Santa Barbara, California, where he graduated from UCSB.

Scott lives in Palm Desert with his wife Renee, and their two children. He enjoys playing basketball, golf, and tennis.
