Health fair for seniors Tuesday in Cathedral City

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. -

A Cathedral City senior center will hold its  annual ``Head to Toe'' community health fair for senior citizens Tuesday.

   The health fair starting at 9 a.m. at the Cathedral Center at 37-171 W.  Buddy Rogers Drive is for people 50 and older.

   Desert Regional Medical Center will offer free flu shots, and about 60  exhibitors will provide health screenings and information on programs and  resources. Attendees can enter to win prizes, and everyone gets a goody bag.

   Several speakers and activities are also scheduled. The lineup:

   -- 9:30 a.m. ``Simply my meds,'' Dr. Ram Upadjyayula

   -- 10 a.m. Chair yoga

   -- 10:30 a.m. ``Senior financial scams,'' Cathedral City police Lt.  Chuck Robinson

   -- 11 a.m. ``Oral health for seniors''

   -- 11:30 a.m. Diabetes

   -- Noon: Disaster preparedness

   -- 12:30 p.m. ``All about eyes''

   -- 1 p.m. Stroke/heart attack

   -- 2:30 p.m. Bingo
