Carjacking in Bermuda Dunes

BERMUDA DUNES, Calif. -

Sunday morning Riverside County Sheriff deputies responded to a reported carjacking in the 78200 block of Varner Road in Bermuda Dunes.

Deputies say the victim was sitting in his 2006 silver Nissan Frontier around 10am when a white male adult demanded his vehicle and threatened to shoot him.

When the victim refused, the suspect hit the victim several times with his fist before pulling him out.

The suspect then took off in the truck and is still on the loose.

The suspect is described as a white male adult, in his 20's, approximately 5'11" tall, heavyset with facial hair. He was last seen wearing a grey sweater and dark jeans.

The victim was treated for minor injuries.
