RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. -

Historian Lowell Fox will give a lecture on comedian Lucille Ball at the Rancho Mirage Public Library today.

Fox will present a slide show of photos, trivia, and quotes, and will share stories and little-known facts about Ball. The talk is titled "Lucille Ball: We Love Lucy."

The presentation will include highlights from the most well-known "I Love Lucy" episodes and an overview of Ball's life and career, including highlights from her early life, her 1960s films, how she and Desi Arnaz met, the formation of Desilu Studios, the creation of "I Love Lucy" and awards and tributes, according to library spokeswoman Susan Cook said.

The talk is part of Fox's lecture series "Comedians with Class." Seating for the free lecture is first-come, first-served.
