Inland Empire gas price climbs highest amount since May 19th
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose three-tenths of a cent today to $4.149, its highest amount since May 19.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 1.2 cents more than one week ago, 4.6 cents higher than one month ago and 13.8 cents above what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price has risen 11 of the past 14 days.
``Retail prices are continuing to absorb the uptick in wholesale prices, even though wholesale prices have backed off somewhat,'' Marie Montgomery of the Automobile Club of Southern California told City News Service.
