Self-serve dog wash new in town

"I moved here with two dogs and went to the dog park and after a busy day they were dirty and I asked someone, 'Where is the nearest dog wash?' and they said, 'What's a dog wash?" Tom Sperduto, owner of The Barking Lot, said.
We wanted to know, too.
"We have tubs and bathing systems and make it easy for someone to wash and dry their dog and leave the mess behind. Fifteen minutes later nothing is left to do but enjoy,” Sperduto said.
While anyone can wash their dog at The Barking Lot, Tom Sperduto created this service with a certain clientele in mind.
"The idea of washing your dog at home. I'm 67 I don't like crawling around on the floor, plus cleaning up the mess afterwards,” Don Blankenburg said.
Rocket doesn't stay black and white for long.
"We go to the dog park everyday he doesn't stay clean long. We get him groomed every two months but he shouldn't go that long without a bath," he said.
Your dog has carte blanche when it comes to picking a shampoo for their specific coat needs. There's aloe oatmeal, deoderizing, or a puppy shampoo.
"Seniors love their dogs and as they get older, I've gone to shelters and spoke to people who say, 'Thank you because kneeling over a tub is so difficult now. My knees hurt, my shoulders hurt,'" Sperduto said. "Pet lovers love their pets and don't like others touching them if they don't have to. It's a bonding experience."
A self serve wash for small dogs is $15, for larger dogs it's $25.
