Coachella 2014
INDIO, Calif. -

Weekend one of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is ready to begin in Indio. Tens of thousands of festival-goers are continuing to stream into the area to attend the sold-out event.

This is the day thousands of people have been waiting for and saving and preparing for. And soon the Empire Polo Ground will be stuffed to the brim with music fans.

On Friday, some of the big names are Outkast, Zedd and Aloe Blacc. Saturday will feature Pharell Williams, Kid Cudi, Lorde, Foster the People and Muse.

The festival wraps up on Sunday with Arcade Fire, Beck, Lana Del Rey and Motorhead.

For locals and everyone else in town, give yourself extra time when driving through Coachella and Indio in La Quinta.

This weekend and next weekend have been sold out for awhile, but locals still had a chance to get tickets for the second weekend on Friday morning.

Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. but sold out quickly.
