Wind Advisory issued for the Coachella Valley and mountain areas

A storm system forecasted to move through the Southwestern U.S. on Friday will bring gusty west and northwesterly winds to the mountains and deserts through Sunday morning. Two different areas of low pressure will bring gusts to their peak late Friday morning and again Saturday afternoon and evening.
The National Weather Service in San Diego California has issued a Wind Advisory for the Coachella Valley, as well as the Riverside and San Bernardino County mountains. The full text advisory is copied below.

MOUNTAINS AND ON DESERT SLOPES THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...
A LOW PRESSURE TROUGH MOVING ACROSS SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TODAY WILL
PRODUCE STRONG AND GUSTY WEST TO SOUTHWEST WINDS OVER THE
MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS. THE WINDS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SATURDAY
NIGHT AS A SECOND TROUGH MOVES ACROSS THE GREAT BASIN. THE WINDS
WILL DECREASE SUNDAY MORNING.

* TIMING...THROUGH EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. A TEMPORARY DECREASE IN
THE WIND SPEEDS FRIDAY NIGHT WILL BE FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER
INCREASE IN WINDS SATURDAY.
* VISIBILITY...BLOWING DUST AND SAND REDUCING VISIBILITY TO ONE
MILE OR LESS AT TIMES IN THE DESERTS.
* IMPACTS...WINDS WILL MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR
MOTORISTS WITH HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES. WATCH FOR BROKEN TREE
LIMBS. REDUCED VISIBILITY AT TIMES ON ROADWAYS FROM BLOWING
DUST AND SAND.
* OUTLOOK...WINDS WILL DIMINISH SUNDAY MORNING.
* REPORTS...VOLCAN MOUNTAIN RECORDED A WIND GUST TO 50 MPH AT 3 AM
A WIND ADVISORY FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND DESERTS MEANS THAT WINDS OF
35 MPH OR GUSTS OF 45 TO 50 MPH ARE EXPECTED. WINDS THIS STRONG
CAN MAKE DRIVING DIFFICULT...ESPECIALLY FOR HIGH PROFILE
VEHICLES. USE EXTRA CAUTION.
