Residents and visitors can ring in the new year at several events around the Coachella Valley tonight.

   A sampling:

   -- The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies will present its last New Year's Eve shows at 3:30 and 9 p.m. at Follies theater, 128 S. Palm Canyon Drive. For information, call (760) 327-0225 or go to www.psfollies.org.

   -- A New York-themed celebration, with dinner and dancing, will be held  to benefit Desert Arc, which works with developmentally disabled people, at 6  p.m. at Miramonte Resort & Spa, 45000 Indian Wells Lane, Indian Wells. For information, call (415) 676-7262.
